The exceptionally thin face of the Fineline cleanly defines an image but never overwhelms it. The frame also offers easy loading of your image and matting.
The patented "Framlok" corner joining system enables one end of the frame to be easily removed for loading yet securely attached when in use. The exceptionally thin edge (1/8 in.) aluminum molding is available in black or white powder coating and silver, gold, and bronze anodizing. The snap-in easel is provided for sizes up to 8 in. x 12 in.
Spring clips adjust the depth of the frame to accommodate up to 3/8 in. of matting and artwork. Frame depth is 7/8 in. The glass is perfectly clean with smooth edges. Mats are not included with these frames.
I own the Framatic Company and if you are unhappy I will always make it right, just call 323-664-7888 X16
Framatic is a picture frame company based in California. They make & distribute frames for resellers. Last year I had my first photo show, and these frames were highly recommended by the camera shop I had had a good relationship with for many years. I bought 17 of their larger frames for my show. I went to the gallery the day before my show to hang them, along with 6 other frames I had bought from a much more reputable company. On the day of my show 8 of the 17 frames had fallen from the wall, leaving me with more than 1/3 of my show photos unavailable. Over time, another 6 fell, eventually leaving only 9out of the original 23 pictures available for viewing. These frames were made with the absolute lowest quality wood I have ever seen. They used a very soft pine that did not support the weight of the pictures. When I very nicely had the camera shop I bought them from contact Framatic, I received an email explaining that I hung them wrong, and that because I was in error, they would not make good on my lost expense of over $1000. Essentially, they tried to justify that their frames are designed to be hung in some unorthodox way, that is NOT an industry standard. So if you're thinking about buying Framatic picture frames, my advice is RUN.
These frames are absolutely beautiful. They're well made, easy to open and close, and create a sleek, elegant display.
In fact, they're the reason I found misterart.com. I'd found them at a shop locally, but it's much more convenient (and cheaper, even with shipping) to get them here. I hope MrA never stops carrying them.
I was pleased by how well packed for shipment they have been in my orders so far, too. I'm confident that when I place orders for multiples the delivery folks can chuck them around and stomp on the boxes without the frames becoming damaged.
These frames are
neat, sleak, easy to assemble, and the best price I've found.
I think the frames are terrific. The problem I have is that many of the spring clips came broken in my order of about 15 frames and I had to replace them. When I contacted MisterArt staff I was told I could return the frames however I felt this was an overly time consuming and expensive solution for both me and MisterArt versus just sending additional spring clips to me.
These Fineline frames are so good! Super thin, modern and high-quality. They come in so many sizes, I have them all over my house. The value is exceptional as I've paid 5x the price for thin metal custom-frames that don't look as nice.
The best, simple, inexpensive frame around. Nice quality, easy to use, and seems sturdy enough.
Wonderful, clean frame and precision in dimensional measurement. Unique construction makes it easy to load a print. Recommend without qualification.
I am replacing two entire walls of black picture frames with these. I love this sturdy finelined frame. The uniformity of this frame and the ability to do single or double matting has made a dramatic difference in my display. I would recommend this frame to anyone who desires to do a large scale installation where the photograph is the focus instead of the frame.
Nice clean lines, sophisticated look. Very modern. Good materials. Only disadvantage is that once you put your frames content in the frame, it is not too easy to change out frequently. Having to disassemble the frame each time is a disadvantage. But if you do not plan to do that often, the look is good.
These are super-sturdy frames, built to last. However, there's a lot going on--don't plan on throwing your art into these frames quickly; they're not idiot-proof either. I recommend them. The black aluminum is clean and modern-looking.
The only ultra-thin frames that can accommodate the thickness of matted artwork, and very attractively (and reasonably priced) at that. An excellent buy.
The Framatic frames are wondeful. The quality is very good, they are easy to put together - yet they do not look cheap at all when assembled. Very good product!
These frames are great. They are built solidly, open and close very well and work well if you like the focus to be on your picture and not the frame.
I already owned several 8x12 Framatic thin-edge frames that I was very pleased with, and checked this site on the chance that they'd have an odder size -- 9x12. They did, and I bought a pair to frame some movie press kit covers, which look terrific -- a welcome, economical, sharp-looking alternative to the cost of getting an entire large movie poster framed. The frames are also very sturdy and easy to use. A great buy.
