Great weight, color and tooth! Just the right amount of texture.

I find that hot press Strathmore watercolor papers are much better than Arches and Fabriano similar products. They are better for drawing, watercolor and surprisingly even for scanning with Epson Expression 1640xl scanner.

I'v used the Strathmore 140 lb hot press paper for 10 years for the watercolor portraits and landscapes I've created. It has a great texture that doesn't overwhelm the subject. Colors stand out true, not fading into the paper.

I've been an illustrator for over twenty years and have used this paper for at least a dozen of them. It's white, consistent, great with ink & W/C. Your price is best I've found.
