I have been using Pelikan opaque watercolors for 40 years. I love them. They last a long time. The colors are great. Also, with more pigment, you can achieve rich vibrant colors that don't fade. I don't put my finished pieces in the sun. And they don`t dry up like tube watercolors. I have given them as presents also.

When my grandparents bought me these paints as a gift I thought they were for little kids because of the lack of colours. But I decided to give them a try anyway and I have to say, I was REALLY impressed. These are the best watercolours I've ever used! The colours get different shades depending on the number of times you apply them on one area and the painting comes out looking so neat and lovely. I really love Pelikan.

I'm just beginning to use watercolor to enhance my calligraphy. I'm so happy this is the paint box that I chose. I have not had it for long, but it has already allowed me hours of exploratory pleasure! I'm so inspired to paint, I'm dreaming of painting! I'm also very happy to find a product that doesn't have a "Made In China" stamp on it. I hope I will be able to order refills from MisterArt.com when I need them!

I have taken the 24 color sets to Hawaii twice and Mexico once to paint detailed images of local flowers and plants about postcard size. I can get the deepest of color to the most transparent of color, all ALIVE and beautiful. Use mostly Arches Watercolor paper deckletorn on 4 sides, sometimes use Masking Fluid, works great. LOVE THESE PAINTS, give them as presents too.

If you want water colors as cakes, this is really on the only set, but that is just fine because the colors are an excellent mix (at least for our needs!), and the mixing ability and saturation is excellent.

I have used the PELIKAN paint sets for quite some time. The sets are a really good buy folks! The quality has been super for my small paintings. I would give this product a "thumbs up"! You will enjoy the lovely colors too.

Pelikan Opaque paints...I have used these paints for years. I have been giving them as gifts to friends and family. They seem to be the very best. Their color is intense and can be thinned down with water if you want a softer hue. I use white and very often mix the colors with white. These paints are my favorite.
