Postminimalism

Postminimalism was first used as a term in 1971 to describe the reaction of artists against the timelessness of Minimalism. Artists of Postminimalism can work within the disciplines of Earthworks, Performance Art, Conceptual Art and Process Art. Generally, there is a reintroduction of the hand of the artist and a rejection of commercialism in Postminimalism. Sculptor Eva Hesse was the first artist to be referred to as Postminimal. Her work emphasizes the handmade and objects that are unique and symbolic. These aspects can be applied to the art of many other Postminimal artists who invested in the importance of forms that both symbolically referred to other images and maintained the purity of shape prevalent in Minimalism.

Ordering and delivery were easy and fast. The Nielsen Bainbridge frames are high quality, durable, and enable artists to do their own framing.

Excellent product for keeping canvases tightly stretched. Have used them for years.

This item is certainly not what it used to be. The paper is thinner in the pages. The covers are thinner. They went from 2 zippers to one. Basically the overall quality went down while the price went up. Stall a great biner but very disappointed.
