The XL Sketch Pad (formerly the Biggie Sketch Pad) is very popular with artists because of its high grade writing surface and bright whiteness. 100-sheet and 125-sheet value pads allow enough paper for sketching freedom. Just enough tooth for pencil, crayon, charcoal or pastel.

This pad was PERFECT for my son's farm equipment drawings. In the past, he had to tape two pieces together to accommodate
his tractor and implement drawings. Now they both fit on one page!

I didn't buy this pad for sketching. I bought the 11x14" pad to make envelopes for cardmaking. It's a perfect pound bond--just light enough to fold up right and just heavy enough to mask the card inside. I make a lot of cards and these pads are a great value for the money.

Fantastic pads. Easy to work with, not too expensive, yet good quality for when you want to do something more than a quick sketch. Works well with pencils.

I purchased this sketchbook for my 8 year old daughter who wanted a sketchbook similar to her sisters who are both artists. She just loved it and I was impressed by the quality also.

Very good value. My kids love this for anything from pencil to marker to crayon to pastels.

I use the Canson Biggie all the time with my oil pastels and have found, for the price, for this to be excellent paper. It works better (for tearing without ripping) if you flip the pad over and start at the back.

Sketch Pads ... and they were .. I actually prefer the payper type .. and it allowed for good 'art-gum' eracsures .. which is a large part of my style ... It's not the best I have over the years, but it's "A LOT BETTER" than most ... ! RECOMEND ! ! !

The paper was thinner than I was expecting. It is also glossy and smooth. I don't like that in paper, but smoothness is good for some activities.
