I purchased these books for a Summer school project and they worked out beautifully! The students created books about themselves. I would highly recommend them.

I gave these to my grandsons (ages 6 and 8)for Christmas. 30 minutes after all the presents had been open and set aside, they were drawing and creating stories in the story books. Wonderful investment in education. Put these books in a child's hands and they just automatically begin to create!

My young school-age children love these books! The small writing space is just right for a one picture story - and would work for longer sequences, too. I recommend it for anybody with a child who enjoys art.

This is the best drawing pad for my six year old. He illustrates all his history, science and English lessons on this pad and even writes a sentence describing what he has drawn. The paper is sturdy and accepts a variety of mediums and the space for writing is just big enough for his sentence.

My grandchildren (ages 6 and 8) recently began writing and illustrating their own "books" so I felt like a real hero when I came across this Strathmore product on the MisterArt.com website. I have never seen it elsewhere. They and their parents were thrilled with the story/drawing books and grandmom got a gold star for finding such a unique and worthwhile gift.

How can a parent not like something that encourages a child's creativity AND writing skill? My daughter is only five, but she loves her new drawing book.

We first came across this notebook in a gift basket for my daughter when she was six. She is ten now, and at the top of her Christmas list is her "build my own story" book. I cannot find these in any stores in this area. Crayola makes one, but the paper quality is newsprint. This one is much better and more durable for her "special stories".
